Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Houston resident Mr. Tyler Scott Wright, 20, died at home Dec. 25, 2003.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Valley Open Bible Fellowship, 14251 Jojoba St. in Big Lake. Pastor Ed Blocker will officiate.
Mr. Wright was born Aug. 26, 1983, in Canon City, Colo.
He became a resident of Alaska in 1989, living in Big Lake.
Mr. Wright was self-employed as a heavy equipment operator and construction contractor. He did asbestos and hazardous waste removal.
Mr. Wright loved operating heavy equipment, fishing and boating in Alaska. He also enjoyed flying and snowmachining.
His family said, "Tyler will be missed by his family and all who knew him. Tyler always had a big smile, a kind heart and made friends wherever he went."
Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his grandfather Otis Fall and great-grandmother Dorothy Fall, of Colorado.
He is survived by his fianc/e Jessica Moniz, parents Scott and Cheryl Wright; brother Weston Wright of Alaska; future mother-in-law Carol Moniz of Alaska; grandmothers Billie Jean Fall and Dixie Jean Wright of Colorado; grandfather Mearle Cowden of Arizona; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, all of Colorado.
Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
