Tuesday, June 6th: Breastfeeding 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Mat Su Regional Medical Center. Find out how to get breastfeeding off to a smooth start, how to assure a plentiful milk production and where you can get answers to your questions and ongoing support. $35 includes Dad or a support person.

Saturday, June 10th: Why Not Tri? Wasilla Triathlon 9am at the Wasilla High Pool. 400 Meter Swim; 9.5 mile Bike; 5 K Run. Long & Short Kid’s Course for ages 6-12. Register at www.whynottriwasilla.net

Tuesday, June 13th: Baby Boot Camp 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Mat Su Regional Medical Center. One session helps you become more confident in taking care of and making decisions for your new baby. Dressing, diapering, bathing, medical testing during hospital stay and coping with crying will be covered plus much more. $35/couple (includes Dad and/or support person).

Saturday, June 17th: Reality Birth Blitz: The Short Course, 1:00pm to 5:00pm, Mat Su Regional Medical Center, a weekend session to fit busy couples OR to refresh skills for those who have given birth before. $60/couple (includes Dad and/or support person)

Friday, June 23rd: Senior Circle Member Luncheon, 11:30 am to 1:00pm, Mat Su Regional Denali Room. Frank Kish, RRT & RDCS from Mat Su Regional’s Cardio Pulmonary Department and Jennifer Brandt from the American Lung Association will be presenting “Shortness of Breath”.

Medically known as dyspnea, shortness of breath can be felt in different ways by different people and it can often be a symptom of some underlying cause. Space is limited so please RSVP to 861-6807 or m.wagner@msrmc.com

Wednesday, June 28th: Orthopedic Seminar Series, 6pm to 7pm, Mat Su Regional Denali Room. If you suffer from joint pain, this seminar is for you. Gregory Strohmeyer, M.D. orthopedic surgeon with Pioneer Peak Orthopedic Surgery, will discuss symptoms of joint pain and treatment options, including minimally invasive robotic procedures that allow smaller incisions. After the presentation, Dr. Strohmeyer will answer your questions. This event is free, but space is limited. To RSVP, call 861-6849. Refreshments will be provided.
