Theresa Ortega, an elderly Wasilla woman reported missing on Saturday, was found alive just before 1 p.m. Sunday, according to the Alaska State Troopers. Ortega, 89, had been missing for nearly 24 hours. AST said Ortega was evaluated be medical personnel.

The Alaska State Troopers are looking for a missing elderly woman in the Wasilla area.
Theresa Ortega, 89, has not been seen since about 2 p.m. on Saturday according to social media posts. AST issued an alert just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Ortega is 5-foot-1, 159 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Ortega was last seen in the area of Gail Drive, according to social media.
