PALMER — An inmate at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility died Tuesday, Alaska State Troopers say.
Troopers were called to the prison at 11:30 p.m. where staff had already begun CPR on Robert McInelly Sr., 42, of Willow. Shortly before midnight, he was pronounced dead.
The press release issued today regarding the death lists no cause of death.
Troopers report that the State Medical Examiner is investigating.
Troopers say McInelly had been booked into prison by Wasilla police shortly before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on charges of driving without a license and violating felony probation.
