USDA announces recall of Mexican food

MAT-SU — The U. S. Department of Agriculture has announced a recall of frozen Mexican food that may have been sold in Valley Fred Meyer stores.

According to a USDA press release, the cartons of beef and chicken taquitos may contain Salmonella.

The brand name of the products are Jose Ole, El Pasado, Casa Solana, E-Z Eats, and Giant Eagle.

The products were produced between January and February. Not every box of taquitos sold in that time is being recalled. If someone's freezer contains any of the products, he or she should consult fsis.usda.gov/News_&_Events/Recall_017_2010_Release/index.asp to find out if those particular taquitos are subject to recall.

There have been no reports of anyone suffered any illness from consuming the products.
