ANCHORAGE — For the third consecutive year, Alaska WildBird Rehabilitation Center in Houston is part of Congregation Beth Sholom’s Mitzvah Mall from noon to 3 p.m., Dec. 7 at 7525 E. Northern Lights Blvd., Anchorage. Admission and parking are free.
The Mitzvah Mall will bring together more than 25 non-profit organizations, including Victims for Justice, Alaska Junior Theater, the American Diabetes Association, Helping Hand for Nepal, Habitat for Humanity, and Alaska WildBird Rehab Center. During the event, people can talk with representatives from the various non-profit groups at the Mitzvah Mall and choose among gifts supporting those organizations for as little as $5.
“Mitzvah” is a commandment to do a “good deed” in Hebrew.
