Valley feels shake of quake

An earthquake with an initial magnitue of 4.92 centered about 40 miles southwest of Wasilla shook the Valley at 1:24 p.m. today. It was the strongest in a series of quakes registered by the Alaska Earthquake Information Center. At 12:05 p.m., a 3.0 magnitude earthquake was also recorded in the area the AEIC identifies as the Cook Inlet Region.
