WASILLA — The Valley Garden Club is hosting its annual spring plant sale at the Mat-Su Boys and Girls Club from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 28.
The sale is held indoors and outdoors. Club members will sell their locally grown vegetables and herb starts, annual and perennial flowers, houseplants, native Alaskan plants, trees and shrubs, gently used garden tools, and other items.
Flow-over parking space is available at neighboring facilities including Fire Dance Academy and Church of Christ. Visitors are advised to look for road signs directing traffic to these designated parking areas.
The People’s Choice Vote for the best road sign announcing the plant sale is a new feature this year. These 8’x5’ signs were created by local high school students, and the top winning artists will receive prizes donated by The Extreme Fun Center and Valley Cinema.
Mat-Su Boys & Girls Club is located at 3700 East Bogard Road in Wasilla, near Seward Meridian intersection.
