The Alaska contingent fared well at the National Petite and Pre-Teen Achievement Program in Orlando during the Thanksgiving week.
Jessica Unger, a 6-year-old Wasilla girl, was the former National Petite Princess. She passed the crown to 6-year-old Taylor Buckmeier of Anchorage, marking the sixth year in a row an Alaskan has held the title.
Also in the Petite Princess pageant, Palmer 8-year-old Natasha Pitre was the first runner up. She was second in sportswear and public speaking, community service and third in a coloring contest.
In the Pre-Teen Princess category, Valley girls fared well. Bree Glasgow, a 13-year-old from Wasilla, was the fourth runner-up and third in sportswear. Angelina Klapperich, 9, of Wasilla, was in the top 10, was in the top five in talent and was the top instrumental in piano. Seaira Reno, a Wasilla 13-year-old, also participated in the pageant. Kayli Thompson of Anchorage and Rose Hardman of Eagle River were also participants.
Gabrielle Pitre, a 6-year-old from Palmer, competed in the Petite open class party dress.
