WASILLA — Former Wasilla High School girls’ soccer standout Ally Hull helped her college team earn its first win of 2018 season.

Hull, a sophomore on the Concordia-Wisconsin women’s soccer team, scored a pair of goals and assisted on a third during a 4-1 win over Lake Forest (Illinois) Sept. 10. Hull, a 2017 graduate of Mat-Su Career and Technical School, also bagged an assist during a 5-4 loss to Franklin, the season opener, on Sept. 1.

As a freshman in 2017, Hull appeared in 19 games and made 17 starts, playing both in the midfield and on defense. Hull scored one goal.

Hull also plays hockey at Concordia. She skated in all 27 games as freshman, finishing with three goals, three assists and a +1 plus/minus rating.

Hull was named first-team All-Northern Lights Conference as a senior on the Wasilla girls’ soccer team. She played hockey for the Alaska All-Stars.

A high school soccer teammate of Hull, Alia Donley, has started four games for Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon. Donley, who plays both midfield and defense, has appeared in all seven games for Lane (5-1-1) in the Northwest Athletic Conference.

Another NWAC program, Southwest Oregon Community College, features a pair of former Valley players. Sahara Iverson, a sophomore and 2017 graduate of Colony High, scored her team’s lone goal during a 1-1 tie against Rogue Sept. 12. Iverson has started three games for the Lakers.

Shaleen Tolbert, a sophomore and 2017 graduate of Palmer High, has started one game in goal for the Lakers.
