PALMER — Two games, 35 total runs and a doubleheader sweep.
Palmer outscored Ketchikan a combined 36-11 during a pair of wins over the Southeast squad Wednesday night in Palmer.
The Pioneers beat Ketchikan 14-4 and 21-7 in consecutive games. Zach Satterly drove in four runs in the first victory. Ben Alley added three RBI. Brady Shults and Owen Hayes drove in two runs each. Satterly also scored a game-high three runs.
In the second game of the doubleheader, Trace Severson finished with four runs and four RBI. Aley was 4 for 5 at the plate, with four runs and three RBI. Eight different players drove in a run.
The wins came a day after Palmer beat Kodiak 13-5. Hayes finished 3 for 4 with three RBI. Severson, Luke Guggenmos and Kaden Ketchum added two RBI each.
Palmer improved to 10-6 overall and 8-4 in league play with the win.
Wasilla continued its American Legion dominance with a 10-0 mercy rule win over East Anchorage Tuesday. Jacob Gilbert was 2 for 2, with two runs and two RBI. Taylon Ottinger added two hits, two RBI and a run.
Wasilla is now 17-2 overall and 12-0 in league play.
