Valley man acquitted of sexual assault charges from 2019 case

PALMER — A Mat-Su man was recently acquitted from sexual assault charges in a case that started in 2019 when he was a teenager.

Kaiden Jimenez was 17 years old when he was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a girl in a high school within the Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District, and he was charged as an adult.

According to Jimenez's attorney Eric Hedland, Jimenez's initial indictment was dismissed and re-indicted, and he went to the court of appeals on petitions for review two times.

According to court documents, the Third Judicial District in Palmer found Jimenez not guilty for all charges such as first-degree attempted sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, and third degree assault January 26.
