The Colony Knights boys and girls soccer squads swept a pair of Peninsula foes last week at Colony High School.
Highlights included a pair of hat tricks for the Knights during wins over Soldotna on April 29. Samantha Johnstone scored three times to lead the Colony girls to a 5-1 win over the Stars. Emily Moss and Sylvanna Saucedo also scored. Eli Krozel found the back of the net three times during a 5-0 win over the SoHi boys. Dimitri Catlett and Gavin McMullen also scored.
The Colony girls beat Kenai 4-0 on April 30. Johnstone scored twice, Saucedo and Kayley Hutchings also finished with a goal.
Krozel, David Elliott and Addison Dobbs scored during a 3-0 victory over the Kenai girls.
Chloe Dolman used a hat trick to lead the Wasilla girls to a 6-0 win over Kenai April 29 at Wasilla High. Alia Shane added a goal and two assists. Kiara Shane and Vanessa Schachle also scored. Ella Hale recorded the shutout in the Wasilla net.
The Kenai boys beat Wasilla 2-0.
The Palmer girls tied Kenai 0-0 May 1 at Palmer High. Payton Knittle recorded the shutout in the Palmer net.
Soldotna beat Palmer 6-1 the day before. Catherine Uschmann was credited with the Palmer goal.
