Volleyball tryouts to be held

Palmer High School will hold volleyball tryouts beginning Aug. 6. The schedule for tryouts is freshmen and sophomores, 2-4 p.m., juniors and seniors 4- 6 p.m. For more information call Steve Reynolds at 746-6625.

Palmer is in the Region III conference and will compete against Palmer, Wasilla, Colony, Kodiak, Kenai, Skyview, Soldotna and Homer this season.

Mat-Su Softball Association Standings

The Mandingos from Talkeetna are the current leaders in the Men's D/E League, while the Mugshot Saloon has top spot for the Coed D/E. E&E Autmotive is leading four other teams in Women's league, and the Farm Loop team hasthe top spot in the Coed E League.
