WASILLA — Students from Palmer High School, Mat-Su Career and Technical High School and Wasilla High School will compete in the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science’s 25th National Science Bowl regional competition Feb. 21 at Career Tech, 2472 N. Seward Meridian Pkwy., Wasilla.
The winner of the regional competition will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., to compete in the Office of Science’s National Science Bowl April 30 to May 4.
The competition began in 1991 with about 500 high school students and now attracts more than 14,000 competitors from middle and high schools every year. Since its inception, about 240,000 students have participated in the competition.
