Vandals strike

WASILLA -- Boats and vehicles on Wasilla Arctic Cat and Marine's sales lot were vandalized this week with damage estimated at more than $11,000, Wasilla police said.

Police believe the vandalism occurred between 8 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. Monday. Three large boats, five vehicles and a travel trailer had been damaged, according to a police report.

Officers noticed the situation while driving through the lot at 2400 E. Parks Highway on Monday morning. Rocks had been thrown at the windows as well as the bodies of boats and vehicles, police said.

Company representatives declined to comment on the incident.
