WASILLA— There are a variety of Halloween themed events planned across the Valley for the remainder of October. Below is a compilation of local events with activity details, pricing and other relevant information to plan accordingly.
By day, the Reindeer Farm hosts a “Spooky Walk” full of animatronics and fun fall music. After dark, they add live actors, and spooky sounds to make a fun and frightful experience in the Haunted Barn.
Tickets are available for purchase at the gate. VIP ticket holders skip the line to purchase tickets with an option to purchase preferred parking. There is a limited number of VIP admissions available. For more information, visit reindeerfarm.com/haunted-barn-reindeer-farm-after-dark.
Primelending staff are partnering with Allie in the Valley, Allie in the Valley, Yukon Title, and Signature Real Estate to put on their third annual Pumpkin Patch Coat Drive at Primelending’s office located off North Leatherleaf Loop Friday, Oct 23 from 3 to 6:30 p.m.
Throughout the day, locals will have the chance to pick out pumpkins in exchange for a brand new coat or monetary donation. All the event proceeds and donated coats go to the Mat-Su Salvation Army who distributes them to local families in need, using donated funds to purchase additional coats and winter gear during the holiday season.

The Greater Wasilla Chamber of Commerce is hosting a spooky event called Halloween Town at the Menard Sports Center Saturday, Oct. 24 from 12 to 4 p.m. There will be a costume contest, games, and outdoor trunk or treat event. Admission is $2 per child or a donation of non perishable food. For more information, call 907-376-1299.
Screaming Eagle Archery of Alaska is holding their annual Halloween Kid’s Fun Shoot Saturday, Oct. 24, starting at 11 a.m. It costs $15 per shooter with a limit of 40 total shooters. There’s three arrows per round over 10 rounds with the chance to win an array of prizes. Costumes are encouraged and those who dress up can enter for a special drawing. Screaming Eagle is located at 210 East Park Avenue in Wasilla.
Everette’s is holding a spooky community event called Halloween Party Gras on Halloween, starting at 7 p.m.
There will be a costume contest with prizes, scary drinks and food, and a live DJ. Admission is $20.00, which includes entry into the contest, and $20 worth of house credit asable at the bar and restaurant. Tickets will be available at the door or they can be purchased online. I Like Robots is celebrating Halloween with a neon, 80’s style celebration and live performance at the Palmer Ale House, starting at 6 p.m on the actual holiday. Brightly colored 80’s attire is encouraged.
American Legion Post 35 is hosting Halloween parties for kids and adults Oct 31. Kids activities run from 2 to 4 p.m. and the adult party starts at 7. For more information, call 907-376-3500 or visit their Facebook page.
The Menard Sports Center is holding their annual Halloween Spooktacular event Halloween night, starting at 6 p.m. This is a free public skate that encourages kids to wear their costumes on the ice.
