WASILLA — While numerous Veterans Day events have been cancelled due to COVID-19, there’s still a number of events and alternative solutions planned around the Valley.
The VFW and other veterans associations across the Valley are gathering at the Veterans Wall of Honor at 11 a.m. on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11 in downtown Wasilla. The wall is located off Fishhook Road, near the Wasilla Police Station. For more information, call 907-376-5820.

The Alpine Inn posted on their Facebook page to inform the public of their annual Veterans Day festivities being cancelled. Since they’re unable to host a gathering, they’re working with Boy Scout Troop #378 to provide homemade dinners with dessert to 20 Sutton based veterans. Scouts will be onsite handing out meals starting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11. Delivery will be available upon request. For more information, email heymarla@outlook.com.
