Alaska Veterans Museum, 333 A. 4th Ave. Suite 227 in Anchorage, will host an event from noon to 2 p.m., and again from 3 to 4 p.m., Nov. 11.
Stop by for a Civil War encampment, fashion show, cannon demonstration, camp life demonstrations, hardtack and johnnycake tastings, a tutorial on making paper cartridges and much more. At 2 p.m., a statue commemorating the Alaska Territorial Guard will be dedicated in front of the museum.
Admission to this event is free to museum members, active-duty with ID card and ATG members. The cost for everyone else is $3.
