Veterans’ Highway

A Department of Transportation employee and state Rep. Wes Keller remove plastic from a “Mat-Su Veterans’ Highway” sign Oct. 25. The corridor along Bogard Road and Seldon Road to Church Street is now know as the “Mat-Su Veterans’ Highway.” Rep. Keller sponsored the bill and joined Mat-Su Borough assemblymembers and other local legislators at the ceremony. The Mat-Su Borough Assembly also has submitted a request for $29 million to Gov. Sean Parnell to connect Bogard Road from North 49th State Street to the Glenn Highway.
