VICTOR FRANKLIN LARSON

Victor Franklin Larson died March 18, 2001, in Chitna Pass, from injuries suffered in a snowmachine accident.

Memorial services will be held Friday, March 23, at 7 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Wasilla on Bogard, with Pastor Stroud officiating.

Mr. Larson was born Jan. 18, 1965, in Anchorage. He graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1983 and served in the United States Air Force from 1983 to 1988. He returned to Alaska in 1988 and lived in the Palmer/Wasilla area. Mr. Larson worked as a self-employed handyman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmachining and outdoor activities.

His family said: "Vic was a very outgoing, loving, caring person. He always had a smile and a kind word. His drive for adventure and love of the outdoors took him to many of the most beautiful places in Alaska. His last moments were spent doing what he loved in a pristine place that he loved."

Mr. Larson leaves behind his wife, Irma Larson; mother, Nancy Halverson of Arizona; father and stepmother, Alan and Helga Larson of Palmer; sister and brother-in-law, Christina and John Murphey of Central Point, Ore.; stepbrothers, Doug Cruthers and Ron Cruthers, both of Palmer, Mark Cruthers of Kotzebue, Brittin Cruthers of Chicago; and grandmother, Georgia Cogdell of Medford, Ore.

Arrangements were made by Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
