To the editor:
Alaskans for Palmer Hay Flats would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to our local union members for their generous donation for the viewing tower to be built on Reflections Lake at Mile 30.5 of the Glenn Highway in winter 2012.
The Union Sportsmen’s Alliance Boots on the Ground organization and Ironworkers Local No. 751 have donated proceeds from a fundraiser held to support the project. The viewing tower is an exciting project that will serve the community and tourists from around the country to enjoy the habitat and scenery of the Palmer Hay Flats State Game Refuge. The funds will go directly to the project and will greatly enhance the refuge.
