WASILLA — The Wasilla Warriors scored a 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-16) over the Houston Hawks Tuesday at Houston High School.
Wasilla (1-0) finished with 24 aces in the victory. Peyton Mobley collected a team-high seven aces and 26 assists in the match. Sylvia Tuisaula had seven kills and two aces. Amber Sizemore recorded six kills and four aces. Ashlyn Dorn furnished five kills and two blocks. Kylie Gilbert added five blocks.
East beats Colony
PALMER — The East Anchorage Thunderbirds posted a 3-1 (25-14, 23-25, 25-17, 25-20) win over Colony at Colony High School on Tuesday.
Whitley Mattern led the Knights with 14 digs in the loss. Ashley Turcotte finished with 13 digs, six kills and two aces. Mackenzie Everett added 17 assists, nine digs and one ace. Sophie Hall pitched in eight kills, four digs and two blocks.
