Volunteers make raffle a success

To the editor:

Just a quick note to thank all the volunteers who helped make our Grand Slam Raffle a huge success. The Colony High School baseball team helped set up tables and chairs Friday night and the Palmer High School baseball team helped in the kitchen busing tables, collecting garbage and putting away tables and chairs on Saturday night.

Everyone was great. Thanks also to the 10 “kitchen ladies” who spent close to four hours preparing the food, and John and Scott, who worked the grill from 12:30 until 7:30 p.m. We couldn’t do it without fantastic volunteers.
