To the editor:
It really gripes me when I hear or read the ads complaining about people from the Lower 48 giving money to politicians. All politicians have moneymen, even Mark Begich.
What people should be worried about are the folks coming up here from the Lower 48 to sway you to vote yes for marijuana.
They say “Oh, you can get taxes from it.” But you know that the love of money is the root of all evil. Think about it because they said the same about booze and taxes. Now we have babies born with alcohol syndrome, drunk drivers killing people with their cars, child abuse, sexual assault, teens and younger getting drunk, etc. I could go on and one.
If we vote yes for marijuana, we will see worse things happen. Plus the next tyrant that gets put in as president could do anything he wanted to do because the next generation would be brain dead. They would just go along with anything.
Think people. Use the brains God gave you and don’t allow this to pass.
