PALMER — Valley Performing Arts is premiering a local adaption of "Peter Pan" at the Glenn Massay Theater Friday, March 24.
"This is a great venue and everybody loves it," "Peter Pan" director DJ Rotach said.
This particular production features a large amount of community participation with all ages and backgrounds represented.
"I just love it. Community theater is so great," Rotach said.
There are close to 100 people involved between the cast, crew, and collection of local musicians. Rotach said that he appreciates the fact that so many community members have dedicated their time and resources to make this play happen.
"They work so hard to create," Rotach said. “I love all their effort so I feel good about it no matter what."
VPA Executive Director Garry Forrester said their take on "Peter Pan" turned into a high-quality musical production. He invites the public to partake in the magic and fly off to Neverland.
"If they don't come out to see it, they'll miss something special," Forrester said.
"Peter Pan" is the last production of VPA's 47th season. This season featured a wide variety of plays such as “Misery,” “Dearly Departed,” and “Babes in Toyland.”
"It's been a great season," Forrester said. "People are ready to get back out."
"Peter Pan" runs from March 24 to April 9. For tickets and showtimes, visit valleyperformingarts.org.
