WASILLA — Mat-Su Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of two guys who have been prowling cars in the Wal-Mart parking lot.
According to a Crime Stoppers press release, the car burglary was reported at 11:54 p.m., Dec. 27.
“Items taken include a Blackhawk .44-caliber pistol with stock handgrips (but missing two brass emblems) worth $800; a black Toshiba laptop with OEF stickers worth $500; baby clothes worth $200; and a DVD video from an ultrasound of the victim’s unborn child,” the press release says.
Police have released photos of two suspects. Both are adult males with slender builds. One was wearing a camouflage jacket, the other a dark hoodie with a green shirt.
They left in a green Crown Victoria-type sedan and store managers believe the same vehicle was involved previously in similar thefts in their parking lot.
Anyone with information is asked to call Mat-Su Crime Stoppers at 745-3333 or submit a tip online at matsu-crimestoppers.org. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
