Troopers say a records check found an active Washington warrant for Escobar on escape charges.
Troopers responded to a residence in Wasilla near Wolverine Avenue and Escobar arrested as a fugitive from justice, troopers say.
Escobar was transported to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility where he was remanded with no bail, awaiting extradition.
