Wanted Washington man turns himself in

A Washington state man is in custody and awaiting extradition there after he turned himself in to Alaska State Troopers around 6 a.m., Oct. 6.

Noah Escobar, 31, told troopers he was wanted on a warrant out of Washington, according to a troopers dispatch statement.

Troopers say a records check found an active Washington warrant for Escobar on escape charges.

Troopers responded to a residence in Wasilla near Wolverine Avenue and Escobar arrested as a fugitive from justice, troopers say.

Escobar was transported to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility where he was remanded with no bail, awaiting extradition.
