This is in response to the letter to the editor from Kirk Brown headlined, “Who benefits from Point Mac railroad extension.”
He says the routes chosen are “… very suspicious in nature” and asks “… how much land do (I) or a company (I) am with own out at Port Mac?”
I’m actually glad he asked that question because it never occurred to me that anyone would be thinking that I owned land there or would somehow benefit personally from the selection of a certain route.
The answer is that I don’t own any land at all out there nor am I in any way associated with anyone who does, nor do I have any influence whatsoever on which route is selected.
I’m glad Mr. Brown supports the project and I’m happy for the opportunity to assuage his suspicion.
