Warrior boys win Wasilla Invite

A pair of Warriors earned wins in a pair of events to help host Wasilla earn the boys team title during the Wasilla Invitational at Wasilla High School.

Timothy Grisco was first in the 100 and 200 meters, and Kade Reynolds won the 110-meter hurdles and 300 hurdles. Peter Kolomeychuck finished first in the boys’ shot put, and the Wasilla boys also won the 400-meter relay.

Wasilla finished with 149 total points in the team standings.

Palmer was second in the boys team standings with 117.5 points. Tucker Christiansen was part of three wins for the Moose. Christiansen was first in the 400 meters, and helped Palmer win the 800-meter and 1,600-meter relays.

Bryson Jolley finished first in two events for Susitna Valley, winning the high jump and triple jump. Felix Roberston led Colony with a win in the long jump. Cort Sandefur won the discus for Redington.

Hana Tennesen swept the throwing events to help Colony finish as the runner-up in the girls standings. Tennesen was first in both the discus and shot put. Isabella Sanchez finished first in the 300 hurdles for the Knights.

Colony was second in the team standings with 128 points.

Sophie Wright was first for Palmer in the girls 800 meters. Lydia Alverts won the long jump for the Moose, who were third in the team standings.
