WASILLA — The Wasilla Warriors scored four times in the second quarter en route to a 42-7 nonconference win over the Houston Hawks at Veterans Memorial Field in Wasilla on Friday.

Mock returned the opening kick 85 yards for the score to give the Warriors the very early 7-0 advantage, and added to the lead with a 2-yard run in the second quarter.
Wasilla junior quarterback Cody Pfeifer threw a pair of touchdown passes for the second time this season. Pfeifer, who finished 4-for-9 for 108 yards, connected with sophomore tight end David Green on a 44-yard scoring pass and senior Tillerman Kroon on a 47-yard scoring play within a two-minute span in the second quarter.
Senior Chris Crane led the Warriors with 142 yards rushing in the win.
A trio of offensive lineman also spent some time in the backfield for Wasilla. Senior Jed Johnson, senior Chris Lafe and junior Gilbert Perez combined for 25 yards on five carries late in the game.
Houston fullback Anthony Origer recorded the Hawks’ lone score when he caught a 20-yard Jordan Webb touchdown pass late in the second quarter.
Origer accounted for more than 100 yards of total offense in the loss. Origer carried the ball 11 times for 51 yards and also grabbed three catches for 54 yards.
Senior Bryan Mason led the Hawks with 67 yards receiving.
