The Wasilla Warriors earned an overtime win over one of their biggest rivals.
Branson Starheim scored less than a minute into the extra frame to give Wasilla a 4-3 overtime win over Palmer Tuesday night at the Brett Memorial Ice Arena in Wasilla.
It was Starheim’s second goal of the game. He also scored in the first minute of the second period to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead. Karson McGrew and Mason Holler also scored for the Warriors.
Xander Logan, Chase Ringler and Brandon Horacek scored for the Moose.
Palmer outshot Wasilla 24-23. Kole Kite made 21 saves for the Warriors in the win. Brody Joseph made 19 saves for the Moose.
