WASILLA — The Wasilla Warriors scored a 3-1 (25-23, 25-23, 16-25, 25-16) win over the Soldotna Stars Thursday at Wasilla High School.
Amber Sizemore recorded 11 kills to help Wasilla improve to 2-0 against Soldotna this season. Wasilla edged SoHi 3-2 earlier this year at Soldotna.
Ashlyn Dorn finished with seven kills, and Andraia Bella and Brooke Queripal added six kills each.
Courtney Anthony led the Warriors with 33 digs. Peyton Mobley had 34 assists.
Palmer 3, Kenai 1
PALMER — The Palmer Moose improved to 4-1 in Northern Lights Conference play with a 3-1 (25-12, 19-25, 25-9, 25-11) win over the Kenai Kardinals Thursday at PHS.
Leiah Reichel finished with 11 kills and four blocks in the win. Naomi Graham chipped in 18 assists and four aces. Allie McPheters added 10 digs.
Palmer 3, West 1
PALMER — The Palmer Moose scored a nonconference volleyball win over the West Anchorage Eagles Wednesday evening at Palmer High School.
Palmer beat West 3-1 (11-25, 25-8, 25-19, 25-21). Carly Venzke led Palmer with 13 digs. Leiah Reichel added 12 kills, four blocks and five aces. Allie McPheters added 17 assists for Palmer.
Palmer hosted Kenai and Wasilla hosted Soldotna Thursday night. See frontiersman.com/sports for results of those matches.
Tonight Soldotna is at Colony and Kenai is at Wasilla. Both matches are slated for a 6:30 p.m. start.
