The Wasilla Warriors edged the Colony Knights 2-1 in a Valley prep hockey battle Tuesday night at the Brett Memorial Ice Arena in Wasilla Tuesday night.
Evan Koivunen and Austin Petersen scored for Wasilla. Petersen netted the eventual game winner with 6:36 left in the second period.
Jacob Ross scored a late goal for Colony.
Wasilla outshot Colony 26-13 in the game. Jakob Barcelona made a dozen saves in the win for the Warriors. Malachi Mukaabya made 24 saves for the Knights.
