Wasilla scored a 10-8 win over rival Colony during the final day of the Buddy Dale Invitational Saturday at Wasilla High School.
The Warriors used a five-run fifth against the Knights to finish 3-1 in the four-day tourney.
Pedro Camacho scored on a passed ball to spark the Warriors in the fifth Brendan O’Donnell added a two-run single. Later in the inning, Ramon Guzman also drove in a pair of runs with a single.
Chase Sivulich and Nate Nickelson led Wasilla with two hits each in the win. Camacho pitched 2 1/3 innings to earn the win in relief.
Brayden Parrent led Colony with two hits, two RBI and three runs scored. Bowman Marks and Dylen Crowther also scored two runs each.
Wasilla also beat Soldotna 12-9 and Kodiak 12-11.
Sivulich led the Warriors with three hits and five RBI against the Stars. Carson Metcalf drove in two and scored three runs.
Wasilla rallied with seven runs in the bottom of the seventh to beat Kodiak. Sivulich and O’Donnell had two RBI each. George McSorley scored three runs.
Chugiak also beat Wasilla 9-6.
Colony finished 2-2 in the tourney,
The Knights beat Palmer 9-5. Four different Colony players had two hits, Kaesen Buzby drove in a pair of runs. Nate Wilson and Parrent scored two runs each.
Colony also scored a 6-1 win over Petersburg. Six different Knights scored a run. Marks pitched 5 ⅓ and earned the win on the mound.
In other action, Eagle River beat Colony 10-0.
Palmer finished 0-4 in the tourney.
Sivilich, Parrent and Palmer’s Gabriel Wheeler were named all-tournament.
