WASILLA — It was a tough couple of days for the Wasilla Warriors in the state softball tournament.

A day after finishing 0-2 in pool play, the Warriors were eliminated with a pair of double-digit losses during the ASAA/First National Bank State Softball Championships Friday in Fairbanks.

Wasilla opened large-schools bracket play with a 13-0 loss to Dimond. West Valley eliminated the Warriors with a 15-0 victory.

In pool play on Thursday, East beat Wasilla 10-2 and West got past the Warriors 14-9.

The Warriors entered state as the three-time defending Railbelt Conference champions.
