WASILLA — The Wasilla Warriors built an early lead and held on for a 10-8 prep softball win over the Colony Knights Tuesday at Wasilla High School.

Wasilla took a 4-0 lead in the second, and added three runs in both the third and fourth innings. The early runs helped Wasilla survive a late Colony surge.

Jordan Hull led Wasilla at the plate, finishing 4 for 4 with three runs scored. Jordan Malave collected two hits and two RBI, and scored a run. Jordyn Forster, Tara Henry and Kendall Walters had two hits each. Henry drove in two runs.

Malave earned the win on the mound, scattering nine hits and striking out six over six innings of work.

Bryanna Scaratt was 3 for 4 for the Knights with two runs and an RBI. Alyssa Oswald scored twice.
