The Hays sisters led Wasilla to a girls basketball win over a big rival.

Freshman Layla Hays scored 12 points and senior Bella Hays added 11 during a 57-45 win over Colony March 4 at Wasilla High School.

Bella Hays scored nine of Wasilla’s 12 fourth-quarter points. Megan Alley added 10.

Colony’s Emma Hopkins scored all of her game-high 16 points in the fourth quarter. The Knights were held to nine total points in the first half and eight in the third, but erupted for 28 in the fourth quarter. Kaylee Wilkes added nine for Colony. Hallie Clark finished with nine.

The Colony boys forced the varsity split with a 67-61 win over the Warriors.

Jayce Underwood led Colony with 23 points. Kash Luce added 17, and Harvey Pullen chipped in 10.

Dylan Jeffus scored 23 to lead Wasilla. Parker Kroon had 13. Connor Dudley and Arthur Adams finished with 11 points each.
