WASILLA — The Wasilla Warriors started strong, but the Dimond Lynx finished stronger.
Following an early Wasilla lead, Dimond outscored the Warriors 28-3 during the final three quarters, and posted a 28-10 nonconference victory over the Warriors Saturday at Dimond High School’s Alumni Field.
Junior Aeron Milliron drove into the end zone from 14 yards out at the tail end of the first quarter to give the Warriors the 7-0 left. But the final three quarters belonged to Dimond quarterback Kyle Henrickson and the Lynx. Henrickson accounted for all four Dimond touchdowns, three passing and one rushing, and helped the Lynx improve to 2-0 overall.
Wasilla dropped to 1-1 with the loss.
