WASILLA — The Wasilla Warriors and Palmer Moose both fell during quarterfinal play during the final day of the West Spiketacular volleyball tournament at West Anchorage High School.
Wasilla, the sixth seed in the Spiketacular Gold Bracket, suffered a 2-1 (21-25, 25-15, 10-15) loss to Northern Lights Conference rival Kodiak in the quarterfinals. Kodiak was the No. 3 seed in the bracket.
South Anchorage, the No. 2 seeded, swept seventh-seeded Palmer 2-0 (25-21, 25-13) in the Gold quarterfinals.
Wasilla and Palmer both finished 8-4 during pool play.
Both teams return to NLC play tonight, with the Moose hosting the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. at Palmer High.
