Warriors, Moose win on final day of WHS tourney

WASILLA — Wasilla and Palmer capped the Buddy Dale Invitational with victories Saturday, and the Moose scored a win over a rival.

Palmer jumped out to an early lead and posted a 10-3 victory over the Knights Saturday afternoon at Wasilla High School. Brady Shults drove in a team-high three runs in the victory. Luke Guggenmos scored three runs and added a pair of RBI. Keagen Norman and Cade Holland also scored twice.

Guggenmos was 3 for 3 at the plate.

Anthony Jones earned the win on the mound, scattering six hits over five innings. He fanned a half-dozen and walked four.

Kaden Ketchum finished 2 for 2 for the Knights. Zach Satterly drove in two runs. Three different Knights crossed the plate.

Host Wasilla built an early lead and held on for a 5-3 win over Dimond Saturday. Carter Huston earned the win on the mound. He fanned three, walked one and didn’t allow an earned run.

Clayton Boyett led Wasilla at the plate, finishing 3 for 4 with two RBI and a run. AJ Camacho, Jacob Gilbert and Bison Malave collected two hits each. Malave also drove in two runs.
