WASILLA — The Wasilla Road Warriors finished with only seven hits, but managed to push across 17 runs during a 17-10 win over South Anchorage Tuesday at McManus Field in
Wasilla.
After trading the lead during the first two innings, Wasilla used seven third-inning runs to race to the victory, and improve to 15-1 overall.
The victory also marked the fifth straight game in which Wasilla scored at least 10 runs, and the second time the Warriors tallied 17 during that
stretch.
Koby Burns drove in four to lead the Road Warriors. Jeffrey Forster and Hank Boyer had three RBI each. Ben Werner and Jimmy Arend finished with two RBI each. Werner and Matt Palmer led the team with four runs each.
Mustangs get by Pioneers
Chugiak scored a 14-4 American Legion baseball win over Palmer at Oberg Field in Palmer on Tuesday.
Cooper McLaughlin scored a run and drove in another to lead the Pioneers.
