Trailing by five runs, Wasilla was six outs away from its first conference loss of the season. But the Warriors rallied.
Wasilla scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth to earn a 9-8 win over rival Colony Saturday afternoon at Wasilla High School.
Ramon Guzman scored the game-winning run on a passed ball to help the Warriors improve to 6-0 in Railbelt play.
Hunter Delcour sparked the sixth-inning rally, with a single to center that Jacob Johnson. Two batters later, Guzman was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, and Delcour scored. Lalo Palomares followed with a sacrifice fly RBI and Bridger Berta scored. Another sacrifice RBI, this time by Camden Mette, tied the score when Aiden Perez crossed the plate.
Perez was 3 for 3 with a run. Delcour finished with two hits, two runs and two RBI. Berta and Johnson also scored twice.
Guzman earned the win on the mound in relief.
Colony built a 4-0 lead in the top of the second and 8-3 advantage in the top of the fourth.
Hayden Sherman led Colony with two hits, two runs and four RBI. Cody Otto added three hits and drove in three. Boman Marks and Kaeson Buzby added two runs each.
Wasilla also scored a 7-3 nonconference win over Dimond Friday in Anchorage. Johnson and Palomares drove in two runs each. Jimmy Lackey added two hits and two runs. Johnson earned the win on the mound.
Service edged Colony 3-2, scoring the game-winning run in the fourth inning to stay undefeated. Sherman led the Knights with two hits and a run. Easton Cook also scored a run.
Palmer beat Houston 9-3 on Friday. Reed Craner led Palmer with two hits, and RBI and three runs. Wyatt Jacobs drove in three. Wyatt Beal scored twice.
Ethan Spencer led Houston with two RBI.
