WASILLA — The Wasilla Warriors finished second in the silver bracket of the West Spiketacular Sept. 16 at West Anchorage High School.
Kodiak edged Wasilla, a Northern Lights Conference rival, 2-1 in the best-of-3 silver bracket final. Wasilla moved into the final with a 2-1 win over Nikiski in the semifinals. The Warriors opened bracket play with a 2-1 victory over Soldotna, another NLC foe.
Both Colony and Palmer competed in the gold bracket. The Knights tied for fifth after a 2-0 loss to West. Palmer tied for ninth after a 2-0 loss to West Valley.
Placement in the brackets was based on results during pool play. Colony finished 6-2, Palmer was 5-3 and Wasilla finished 2-6.
