The Dimond Lynx edged the Wasilla Warriors 2-1 (13-25, 25-16, 15-9) in the gold bracket final of the West Spiketacular Sept. 28 at West Anchorage High School in Anchorage.
Ali Devine led Wasilla with 10 kills and 11 digs in the best-of-3 match. Layla Hays added seven kills. Violet Schachle had 10 digs, and Mylee Anderson finished with 28 assists.
Wasilla moved into the final with wins over Kenai and Chugiak in the gold bracket. Wasilla and Dimond were both 10-2 in pool play.
Palmer finished first in the silver bracket with a 2-1 (21-25, 25-17, 15-8) in the final. Khloe Ivey led the Moose with 10 kills. Taylor Rindal had 10 assists.
The Moose beat Valley rival Colony 2-1 (25-19, 21-25, 15-12) in the silver semifinals. Ivey had 13 kills. Palmer also beat West Valley 2-0 (25-19, 25-23) in the quarterfinals. Colony also beat Homer in the quarterfinals.
Palmer was 4-8 in pool play and Colony was 6-6.
