WASILLA — Junior Jade Johnston and sophomore Ryder Conroy each scored twice to lead the Wasilla Warriors to a 7-1 nonconference win over the Houston Hawks at the Curtis C. Menard II Memorial Ice Arena on Tuesday.
Conroy gave the Warriors the early lead, scoring his first goal of the game in the first period, and Wasilla broke the contest open with four goals in the second.
Senior Dominik Frank, junior Jeremiah Walker and sophomore Trent Wohlers also scored for WHS.
Wohlers, Frank and senior captain Dylan Troisi chipped in two assists each.
Rye Humphreys netted a second-period goal to account for Houston’s only score.
Chris Yaskus stopped 25 shots in the Warrior win, while Ben Barenburg recorded 24 saves for Houston in the loss.
