WASILLA — A rematch of the 2012 Northern Lights Conference Championships title game turned out to be no match at all for the Wasilla Warriors.
Wasilla allowed only 11 points during the final three quarters, and coasted to a 48-22 win over Soldotna Saturday at Wasilla High.
Soldotna shot just 18 percent from the field and made only one trip to the free-throw line in the game.
Kailee Skjold led Soldotna with nine points and 10 rebounds.
Alexis Imoe scored a game-high 18 points in the win. Alysha Devine chipped in 13, and Kyla Dinkel recorded a a double-double, 11 points and 10 rebounds.
In boys action, Soldotna used a 15-4 second-quarter run to grab a 44-31 NLC win over Wasilla.
Cory Carver scored 13 points for the Stars, to help Soldotna force the two-game season series split. Wasilla beat Soldotna in Soldotna earlier this month.
Cameron Brown finished with a game-high 14 for Wasilla, who was playing without leading scorer Dane Kuiper.
Cash McGregor added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Warriors.
