WASILLA — Tyler Hansen continued his senior season with another stellar performance Friday night.
Hansen raised his batting average to .500 and kept his earned run average at 0.00 as he led Wasilla to a 10-0 Southcentral Conference win over Kenai Central at Wasilla High School.
On the mound, Hansen pitched a two-hit shutout. He fanned six and walked two. He was also 2 for 4 at the plate with three runs and two RBI. Jeffrey Forster and Mitchell Chauvin also had two hits for the Warriors. Blake Marks drove in a team-best four runs.
Wasilla finished with five doubles in the win, including two courtesy of Forster.
Wasilla improved to 9-0 with the win.
WASILLA — The Wasilla Warriors improved to 10-0 with a 13-3 win over Soldotna Saturday afternoon in Wasilla.
Jeffrey Forster and Blake Carricaburu each drove in three runs to help the Warriors stay undefeated. Forster finished 2 for 3, with two runs and 3 RBI. Carricaburu was 2 for 2, with three runs drivin in and another scored.
Tyler Hansen added two runs, two hits and two RBI for the Warriors.
Wasilla took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning and added five runs in the second. Soldotna climbed back in the fourth, but Wasilla answered back with six runs in the bottom of the inning.
WASILLA — A big third inning helped Wasilla survive a late Homer push, and the Warriors scored a 12-7 Southcentral Conference win over the Mariners Thursday at Wasilla High School.
Wasilla, trailing 2-1, scored six times in the bottom of the third. Wasilla, which improved to 8-0, also three runs in the fourth and two in the fifth.
Homer tried to rally with five fifth-inning runs.
Tyler Hansen finished with a pair of doubles and led Wasilla with three hits. Hansen and Tyler Boensch drove in two runs each. Eight different Warriors had at least one RBI.
Jeffrey Forster, Cooper Hanson and Blake Marks also had two hits each.
