WASILLA — The Wasilla Warriors stayed undefeated with a pair of wins on the Kenai Peninsula over the weekend.
On Friday, the Warriors swept Homer 3-0 (25-13, 26-24, 25-15) at Homer High School. Junior Sariah Tuisaula led the Warriors with 19 kills and five aces. Senior Aryn Crane added a dozen kills. Haley Taylor chipped in five blocks and four aces.
Wasilla improved to 3-0 on the season with a 3-1 (22-25, 25-22, 28-26, 25-7) win over Skyview the following afternoon. Tuisaula helped the Warriors win the final three sets of the match by recording 15 kills, nine aces and three blocks. Crane finished with a stellar 12 aces during the win. Jolee Fife added four blocks and three aces.
The Warriors are back in action tonight, facing the Colony Knights at 6:30 p.m. at Colony High School.
Palmer sweeps Kodiak
KODIAK — The Palmer Moose scored a 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-23) win over Kodiak last Friday at Kodiak High School.
The host Bears led 23-14 during the third set, but Palmer’s Kalene Smith served 11 straight points to prevent Kodiak from forcing a fourth game. Morgan Morfe led Palmer with nine kills. Jenna Arlow added 19 assists.
Delta scores wins
over Houston
HOUSTON — Delta posted a pair of nonconference victories over Houston last weekend at Houston High School.
The Huskies grabbed a 3-0 win on Friday and 3-1 victory on Saturday afternoon. Houston hosts Anchorage Christian School tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Houston High.
