Warriors stay undefeated

HOUSTON — The Wasilla Warriors stayed unbeaten with a 12-0 win over Houston at Houston High School on Thursday.

Aryn Crane led Wasilla (4-0-1) with three goals in the win. Alex Firestack and Krizia Verplancke were also among the Warriors who found the back of the Houston net.

Despite the lopsided win, Wasilla head coach Amber Craig commended the effort of the Hawks.

“(The new coaches) are doing a really good job,” Craig said. “As far as basic skill level, Houston is much better than in the past.”

Sammye Becker and Malie Davis split time in goal for WHS.

The win over the Hawks marked Wasilla’s second Northern Lights Conference North Division win in three days.

Amy Jo Coonrod and Tabor Tingstad scored to lead Wasilla to a 2-0 win over Grace Christian at Anchorage Football Stadium on Tuesday.

Wasilla continues conference play with road games at Homer today and Skyview on Saturday.
